What do you know about Vietnam War?
The Vietnam War was a long, costly and divisive conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. The conflict was intensified by the ongoing Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union.
There are numerous publications on this war that killed over 58'000 American soldiers and millions of Vietnamese.
To view how Americans and the world perceive the Vietnam war, you can consult the bibliography of over 50 books by American authors on the topic, as shown below. However, there are different views of this war, seen from the perspectives of non-American authors, mainly French, Vietnamese, Chinese and Russian authors that present a different view of the Vietnam as the frontline of the East-West Divide.
